The Mill of Black Horse is seeking a Retail Manager. This individual will oversee all retail components of the store in White Hall, Maryland. He/She must have the ability to establish a strong relationship with customers, oversee and count product inventory, work smoothly at the retail counter, lead and grow the retail team, create staff schedules, host store events and meetings with The Mill’s marketing team, coordinate warehouse staff and work alongside other store managers to successfully promote product and represent the company’s brand.
Retail and management experience is desired for this position.

Carrie has worked at the retail counter, assisted in equine product ordering, served as The Mill’s Marketing Director and recently took on the position of Controller of the company. Carrie is admired by her co-workers for her willingness to tackle any challenge and her dedication to The Mill. She has lead numerous field trips for local community groups and coordinated Mill events, reaching hundreds of customers. Her enthusiasm for the company has already been passed on to her daughter, who entered her chicken “Rubble” in The Mill of Bel Air’s Miss Americ-Hen Pageant.

She does a great job of working with retail, marketing, events and special entertainment by PUMPKIN (her miniature donkey)! She constantly finds ways to set higher goals and achieve them. Gregg is always thinking of better ways to serve the customer and do his job. He works tirelessly to connect with customers to make it more than “just loading their product”. One co-worker said “He defines selfless.” A customer described him as “one of the hardest working men, who is great at explaining things and giving thorough directions.” Despite his knee and back pain from serving in the military, Gregg never complains, he just pushes himself harder.
