Dennis Berger - 410-688-7565
Joe Hushon - 1-800-993-3300
Joe has been with The Mill since 2008.
He began working at The Mill of Black Horse as part of the dock crew. He then took on tasks involving GPS management, blending fertilizer and building a liquid automation facility. Joe has been managing the sprayer fleet since 2015. He enjoys spending time with his wife and their son, who was born on Thanksgiving Day 2016.
Smoke Shaffer - 410-692-2200
Smoke has been with The Mill since 2003.
He has been crop advising for more than 45 years. In 1966 Smoke began working at Southern States and became a manager at the Shawsville location in 1976. In 1977 Smoke brought in bulk fertilizer to the company. Smoke has been known for being a talented trapshooter. In 1989 he was recognized as the top shooter at The York County Trapshooting League Championship.
David Boniface - 443-807-8286
David has been with The Mill since 2003.
He attended Delaware Valley College and received a degree in Agronomy & Environmental Science. He served as a golf course superintendent for 18 years. As a 4-H Leader and The Harford County Ag Advisory Board David has been heavily involved with the community. He is also certified in writing Nutrient Management Plans.
Tim Hushon - 443-617-4256
Tim has been with The Mill since 2007.
At Penn State, he studied Ag Business. Tim interned with Dow Agroscience and the Penn State
Extension Service in Lebanon County. In August of 2016 he became a Certified Crop Advisor. He is also The Mill’s Sustain Champion. Tim helps customers with products, technology and services. He enjoys playing recreational sports and adopting rescue dogs.
David Shriver - 410-409-4017
David has been with The Mill since 2010.
At North Carolina State, he received his Horticultural Science Degree. For 18 years, David worked for Doeblers & TA Seeds. He also worked for Union Carbide and Lebanon Agricorp for five years each. You may recognize him for serving on the Board of Directors at Union Mills Homestead or as Chairman for the Maryland Micro Brewery Festival.
Ben Hushon - 443-807-8282
Ben has been a partner in The Mill since 2003.
He was born and raised on a dairy farm in Delta, Pennsylvania. He also managed the former Royster-Clark in Whiteford for 15 years. He is blessed with a great wife, Cindy, and two children, Tim and Tabitha. As a member of The Fawn Grove Compassion Center Board and The Township Planning commission, Ben enjoys giving back to his community.
Aaron Robey - 443-244-1032
Aaron interned with The Mill’s Agronomy Team in 2017 and returned the following year as a full-time agronomist.
He attended Deleware Valley College and was an active brother of Alpha Gamma Rho. With a B.S. in Agri-Business, Aaron is a strong component of our Precision Ag Technology Program at The Mill.
He grew up on his family’s farm in Westminister where they grow corn and soybeans and raise beef cattle. He enjoys hunting waterfowl on his free time.

Mike started with The Mill in 2014
He served as a project manager for 15 years at several different local construction companies before coming to The Mill of Red Lion. Now working from the Black Horse location, Mike manages crop operations. He enjoys spending time at his home orchard and bee keeping.
